K’annibal Woman is a unique music project from Tulalip, WA. Band members include: Guy Madison, (Guitar/Vocals), Curtis Taylor (Drums), David Hillman (Lead Guitar) , Chad McMurray and Rodney Harrison (Bass). Their latest CD is entitled Woman and was released in 2011. The CD explodes in your face with intro piece “Headhunter” a furious intro piece that hits hard with its thrashing punk rock rhythms, thunderous guitar chords and psychotic psychedelic rock vibe. Track 2 delivers more of the same raw intensity with “Fever” an aggressive follow up piece that slams your ears into submission with its aggressive bluesy rock feel and no holds barred lyrical content. Track 3 “Coming as You Are” shifts gears a bit with its dynamic ebb and flow that whips you around like a wild tornado, with melodic guitar and dynamic vocal intensity from singer Madison. As the CD quickly unfolds I can hear influences ranging from Deep Purple, Jimmy Hendricks, X, Motorhead, Black Sabbath and even classic Clash, Suicidal Tendencies even Black Flag. The music has everything you would expect from a high octane classic rock CD. The musical style refuses to be pinned down, the vocals are gritty and are deep in your grill and the guitar playing is hot to the touch. Make no bones about it this is total mosh pit madness - Seattle style. The songs themselves are reckless and packed to the hilt with psychedelic-grunge-rock intensity and lyrical content that takes no prisoners. Read Review
