Artist: Late Cambrian

CD: Peach

Genera: Alternative Rock, Indie Rock

Late Cambrian is a Brooklyn Indie Alternative Rock band. If The Strokes and Phoenix adopted a rock baby from Elliot Smith and The Arctic Monkeys the baby's name would be Late Cambrian. They are currently mixing and mastering their 3rd full length album, Golden Time, funded by fans through partnership with PledgeMusic. Look for Late Cambrian on the road opening for Wheatus Sept 30-Nov 1 2014 in the UK, Ireland, Amsterdam & Germany! Band Members are: John Wlaysewski (Vocals/Guitar), Nunzio Moudotsos (Bass/Vocals), O (Synth, Vocals). First up is Track 1 “Lovers Point” serves up an enticing rocked out, guitar ridden groove, meshed against hypnotic lyrical content, strong melody and impressive vocals from Wloysewski. This intro track sets the tone rather well for a fun and highly charged-alternative rock CD like this. Track 2 "The Label Needed a Single” presents a brilliant play on words which quickly takes flight with rocking lullaby that gradually builds into a passionate full tilt ballad complete with hypnotic vocal presence and a grand slam chorus. Track 3 “The Year I Cut the Cable” serves up yet another hooky groove with its good time beat, and impassioned vocal fee', and thought provoking lyrical content. This track also features female Vocalist from O – as do many of the tracks. As these songs slowly unfolded I could hear many musical influences reminiscent of classic They Might Be Giants, Radiohead, Beck, Franz Ferdinand, and Death Cab for Cutie.
