IMD How would you classify your music?

LF Iím not really interested in classifying it. I only care that the music remain as honest as possible. To do that, I shy away from all boundaries and expectations. This resonates with the philosophy of my lifeÖ being free, open.

IMD Who are some of your top 5 musical influences?

LF I dunno really. I listen to a lot of music. Right now Iím into Spooky Black and Beyonce, thatís about it.

IMD What do you want fans to take from your music?

LF An experience, both narrative and visual.

IMD Howís the music scene in your locale?

LF I live in Echo Park. Itís a really saturated, fruitful place for musicians and creatives.

IMD What is the best concert you have been to? What do you like most about playing live?

LF Maybe itís my obsession with vulnerability and romance. I get to be this heightened version of myself on stage. I crave human connectionÖ Performing is my way of manifesting it.

IMD Tell us briefly about Oko?

LF Oko marks the beginning. It is a direct extension of myself during that time. It helped me to push myself, and realize what I need to do now.

IMD How have you evolved as an artist over the last year?

LF A lot has changed in my environment. The past year has been full of progress and as a person my interests have expanded. Most of all, I have made the room in my life for music to be fully encompassing.

IMD If you could meet, play a gig, cowrite a song, have dinner with any band or artist (dead or alive) who would it be?

LF I donít think Iím responsible enough to answer this.

IMD Do you consider yourself a feminist?

LF Absolutely.

IMD What fascinates you?

LF People and interpersonal relationships.

IMD What do you want to do more of?

LF ?

MD Whatís next for Lena?

MD New music. Collaborating inside and outside of my niche. New faces, always new faces. Iím focusing a lot on the visual aspect of my music right now, if that makes sense. Also, probably a lot of second-guessing and panicking. And love.
